The Beginning of a Lifesaving Space
These first images may look simple, but they mark the beginning of something extraordinary—the very first animal shelter in Saranda, Albania. Though still under construction, this space represents a safe haven in the making, where animals who’ve known fear and neglect will instead find food, shelter, and compassionate care.
In time, we envision shaded areas built along the sides to protect animals from the sun, clean enclosures to keep them safe and comfortable, and dedicated zones for regular feeding, rest, and recovery. This shelter will also serve as a place for basic medical care, vaccinations, and healing for animals in crisis.
It may be humble today, but it’s filled with promise. It’s a place where rescue stories will begin, where second chances will become possible, and where love and dignity will be restored—one animal at a time.
Spay & Neuter: Compassion Through Prevention
At Paws of Hope International, one of our core missions is to address the root of animal overpopulation with proactive, humane solutions. We're proud to partner with Paws Vet Clinic Saranda, led by the skilled and compassionate Dr. Tiziana Sina and her dedicated veterinary technician Anastasia.
Through this collaboration, we offer regular spay and neuter services for stray and rescued animals in Saranda. Every surgery performed is a step toward breaking the cycle of suffering—preventing future litters from being born into hardship, hunger, or homelessness.
